Marketing and Comp Checks

I think that we can all agree that spending marketing money is probably the most important part of any business..However (bet you saw that coming), that does not mean we cannot be wise about it.

Just as an example I spent a little bit of money on www.appraisers.com and I am about half way down the list. I have been receiving several emails and phone calls asking for comp checks (which I will not do) and on one of them I asked (wrote in an email) where they heard about me (just as I notices the "to" line was blank, which usually means that they spammed allot of appraisers) and the reply was...appraisers . com....

oooo boy.

So..was it really worth paying the money to be included in an Appraisers directory when I am not at the top and the only calls and emails I get will be from spamming comp checkers??
